I had time between basketball tournament games to find ways to entertain my very active 2 1/2 year old daughter! The sports complex was filled with teams, refs, whistles and to my surprise an indoor play area! To the right of this much needed toddler wiggle outlet and mama break were tables and chairs for all the concessions to be enjoyed!

One couple I particularly noticed sitting was a very pregnant mom enjoying her baby belly as the adoring father beamed while rubbing her belly and smiling. I took the picture in my mind and also because I thought taking an actual picture might be a bit much lol! I noticed her light blue jean colored romper while the father leaned in pausing as he rubbed her belly. I captured with my eyes and my heart the beauty of this moment. The beauty of life. The beauty of motherhood. The beauty of a father’s shared joy.

Moms are beautiful when they are carrying.. carrying in pregnancy, carrying tots while building biceps, carrying laundry, groceries, and a purse where you can never find the key’s. Moms are carrying prayers and inward struggles with teenage changes, high school seasons, luggage to college and memories for a lifetime.
