They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

John 17:16

How must it have felt for Daniel and Esther to live in a pagan world yet living completely sold out? Both refusing to blend into culture and fit in but instead pray for the very culture who opposed and was hostile to them. They risked their lives, both prepared to die. Daniel thrown in the lions den, Esther approaching the king prepared for whatever may come. How does one develop this level of trust? Was it great pity or honor? Was it lonely? Did they have another to confide in?

Choosing to walk distinctively different than culture is our call. It is glory and persecution. We did not receive favor to be comfortable but instead to present the gospel and impact every sector of society. If you are the only one in your family, business, community, or any sphere of influence, consider yourself favored and blessed! We are entering into a time where the church will look more distinct than ever from culture. If your perspective is skewed by society labeling you as an outcast or nobody, know in the kingdom you are known as set apart, sent one. We were never suppose to dim our lights to fit in. Light confronts, exposes, and ultimately brings true liberation.

The choice to come out from among the world is now more than ever as we have commemorated Purim and honored Esther this month of March. It is time to stop assimilating to culture and impact the world with the gospel message of love and reconciliation – to confront evil and injustices. We did not step into our royal positions as queens and kings of Christ to sit and admire the crown but to give honor to the very crown purchased by the blood of Jesus in representing Him well on the earth. It is glaringly obvious the fruit of contamination, compromise, and fear of offending others has silenced the church. Fear of conflict and being exiled has produced conformity. Fear is a liar. Fear is our enemy.

It’s time to evict the squatters and the enemy’s illegal occupation of what is legally our inheritance as daughters of King Jesus. It’s time to occupy, influence, and disciple the nations! This is our time America!!! The scepter is being extended! Esther’s, this is your time to come out of this world and step into your royal position! It’s time to ARISE!!
